Flights to Geneva were much cheaper for us than flying directly to Zurich. Zurich is also a perfectly good starting point: adjust or reverse the route around your flights. We traveled almost entirely by train, gondola, and boat, using Grindelwald as our base for several nights instead of constantly changing hotels.
